Heavy rains forecast in AP, TN, Kerala

Pune, Oct 31 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Telangana, Rayalseema, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, and south interior Karnataka.

Northeast monsoon has been vigorous over coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Heavy to very heavy rains with extremely heavy rainfall have occurred at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Heavy rains have occurred at a few places in Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Chattisgarh, Telangana, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Konkan, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and in some parts of Assam, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Saurashtra and Kutch, and were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and Goa. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh and in some parts of coastal Tamil Nadu and were below normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Rayalseema. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Assam and were below normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and east Uttar Pradesh. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha. They were above normal in Telangana and in some parts of Chattisgarh and Tamil Nadu.
