Guj Road Transport to add 1,000 new buses to its fleet
Gandhinagar, Oct 31 (UNI) The Gujarat government today announced that it will add 1,000 new buses at a cost of Rs 115 crore to the existing fleet of Gujarat State Road and Transport Corporation (GSRTC).
The decision was taken by Chief Minister Narendra Modi as a 'Diwali Gift' to the people of Gujarat, an official release said here.
The release said of 1,000 buses, 700 would be diesel operated, while the remaining 300 would be CNG-based buses. Of them, 100 buses would ply as luxury buses, 200 as semi-luxury, while 700 as super express.
The luxury and semi-luxury buses would be fitted with 39 and 42 push-back seats respectively. They will also have other facilities like TV, DVD player, FM Radio, mobile charger, eletronic ticketing machines and sliding doors, the release added.
