Girl suffering from dengue dies in PGIMER
Chandigarh, Oct 31 (UNI) A 17-year-old girl suffering from dengue fever died late last night in the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER).
The patient, who was admitted in the hospital on October 26, has been identified as Ritu, a resident of Rampur Maniyaran district Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, said PGIMER spokesperson here today.
She said that as many as six new cases of suspected dengue fever have been reported in the hospital in the past 24 hours.
She said out of 35 patients admitted in the PGIMER at present, two are from the tricity.
Out of 17 patients tested positive, three are in a critical condition and till date 473 patients of suspected dengue fever have been treated in the hospital, she added.
