Delhi's Damandeep barred from semi-final
Jalandhar, Oct 31 (UNI) Delhi's Damandeep Singh who caused injury to rival Air India's defender Parveen Kumar during super league match of the National Hockey Championship here today, was suspended for the next one match.
An Organisers' spokesman said that Damandeep was suspended for one match by Tournament Technical Director Kukoo Walia after considering the report of match umpires.
Damandeep Singh was sent out of the ground in 55th minute of the match with a red card after this incident.
With this, Damandeep can not play in semi final between Delhi and Namdhari XI scheduled to be held on November 2.
