Death sentence for RJD leader for killing BJP leader

Samastipur, Oct 31 (UNI) A local court today pronounced death sentence to RJD leader Raghuvar Rai and life term to another convict for murdering BJP leader Nand Kumar Thakur in 2004.

Additional district and session judge of VI fast track court Diwakar Mishra delivered the judgement pronouncing death sentence to Rahguvar Rai and life term for Viral Rai. The court also slapped fine of Rs 25,000 on Rai.

BJP leader and Panchayat Samiti member Nand Kumar Thakur alias Ghooran Thakur was murdered on July 15, 2004.
