Dalal becomes new Haryana DGP
Chandigarh, Oct 31 (UNI) The Haryana government today appointed State Vigilance Bureau Director Ranjiv Singh Dalal as new Director General of Police (DGP).
Mr Dalal replaces Mr Nirmal Singh who retired from the top police post today.
A recipient of President's Police Medal for Gallantry and Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Mr Ranjiv Singh Dalal joined the Government service on July 14, 1974 and has also served the Border Security Force as Inspector General.
He graduated in English Honours and did LL B with first division.
Apart from serving the State Police Department in various capacities, he also served as Professor of Political Theory and Constitutional Law at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration.
