Cadila Healthcare posts 26.4 pc rise in Q2 profit

New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) Cadila Healthcare Ltd today posted a 26.4 per cent increase in net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006, at Rs 65.5 crore, as compared to Rs 51.8 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The company's total income increased 14.78 per cent to Rs 401.4 crore for the quarter from Rs 349.7 crore for the same quarter last year.

The net profit of the group stood at Rs 70.5 crore during the period, higher by 46.77 per cent as compared to Rs 48 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005.

Its total income was up by 22.6 per cent from Rs 387.5 crore for Q2 FY 06 to Rs 475.1 crore for the present quarter.
