BJS stages sit-in in Bhopal
Bhopal, Oct 31 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) today submitted a memorandum to Governor Balram Jakhar demanding the removal of Chhatarpur Superintendent of Police with immediate effect besides action against culprits for the attack on BJS President Uma Bharti's motorcade at Serora village in Chhatarpur district during polling yesterday.
A delegation of BJS workers led by party state president Raghunandan Sharma met the Governor and submitted the memorandum.
Mr Sharma, who sat on a sit-in here since late last night in protest of the attack, told reporters here that BJS Vice-President Chandraraj Singhvi will submit a memorandum to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil in this regard in New Delhi today.
Mr Sharma, who is party candidate from Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency, alleged that Ms Bharti's motorcade was attacked in a planned manner.
He said the sit-in will continue untill steps were not taken to meet the demands.
