Bank looted in MP village
Neemuch, MP, Oct 31 (UNI) About Rs 10 lakh were looted in broad daylight by four masked robbers from a nationalised bank in this district's Deeken village, the police said.
Three of the accused, including Babunath Yogi, were arrested with the help of a cooperative bank's manager and villagers. The foursome reached the branch yesterday afternoon.
Three entered the bank and threatened Cashier R K Parikh and Clerk D P Agrawal at gunpoint before thrashing them. The robbers took a key from Mr Parikh, looted the cash and locked the bank door before driving off in a waiting car.
The cashier telephoned central cooperative bank Manager Kailash Palash in nearby Dandoli village. Interestingly, the accused attempted to prevent being nabbed by distributing currency notes.
The plot was the brainchild of Yogi, a resident of this district's Kundla village. He called in accomplices from Morena.
