Atkinson to deliver talk on preparation and maintenance of pitches

Mumbai, Oct 31 (UNI) The pitch consultant to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Andy Atkinson will hold a special talk with the groundsmen on the construction, preparation and maintenance of cricket pitches in India on November 6.

Organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), Mr Atkinson during the talk would share his world wide experience with the Indian groundsmen, a release issued by the MCA stated here today.

Mr Atkinson would also present a power point presentation, while a translator would explain the points in Hindi to those groundsmen who do not follow English, the release said.

This talk is free and open to all those who would like to educate themselves on cricket pitches, the release added.
