15 samples test positive for dengue in MP

Bhopal, Oct 31 (UNI) Fifteen of 59 blood samples from Madhya Pradesh have tested positive for dengue, 8 from this division and the rest from Gwalior area.

''Of 92 suspected cases, 59 samples were dispatched to Delhi for analysis. Three samples from nearby Padria Kachhi tested negative.

As part of anti-dengue measures, spraying and other methods are being adopted in 1,200 villages,'' Commissioner (Health) Rajesh Rajora said today.

Rapid test kits are available in all 48 districts while ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay) kits have been supplied to medical colleges in Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior.
