14 Indian military officials visit Oman

Dubai, Oct 31 (UNI) Fourteen high ranking Indian military officials visited defence establishments in Oman to have an understanding of the region and its issues.

The officials are pursuing training at Indian Army's War College in Mhow in Madhya Pradesh.

The delegation, headed by Brigadier Sunit Kumar and Air Commodore A V Golvalkar, told Oman Tribune that the visit was part of the their course curriculum.

The officers of colonel and equivalent rank go to the Mhow College for being groomed for higher ranks in the Indian defence forces after focused training in strategic and tactical tools of warfare.

After their three-day trip concluding today, the Indian defence group is set to visit the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.

Oman has shown keen interest in sending some of its defence officers for training conducted by Army War College, an official said.
