Women's semifinal line drawn up

Jamshedpur, Oct 30 (UNI) Kerala, Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Western Railways stormed into the semifinals in the women's section of the 22nd Federation Cupt Basketball Championship here today.

In the women's pool A match Kerala dominated the proceedings to defeat Maharashtra 64-36 points. Kerala was leading 33-13 during the half time. Sonia scored 22 points for the winning side.

The other match of women's Pool B, however, witnessed a neck and neck contest between Delhi and Chhattisgarh. Delhi cagers registered victory by three points as the final scoreline read 68-65, while the half time score was 45-41 in favour of the winner.

Both Delhi and Chhattisgarh entered into semis from Pool B.

Western Railway and Kerala were the other two teams from women's Pool A to secure semifinal berth.

In the men's Pool A match, ONGC outclassed North Western Railways 100-70 points while Indian Overseas Bank defeated Punjab in Pool B by 82-66 points.
