Villagers kill three history-sheeters

Fatehpur, Oct 30 (UNI) Three history-sheeters were killed in cross-firing by locals in Naseerpur village here this afternoon.

Police said the three were the aides of wanted criminal, Amar Kevat, who is carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head.

According to village pradhan Iqbal Ahmed, the incident took place when they entered Naseerpur to commit a robbery.

When the villagers challenged them, they started firing. The criminals, have been identified as Ramnarayan Kevat (40), Bacchu Kevat (28) and Budda Kevat (35).

The terror of Kevat gang haunts several districts of Uttar Pradesh. A case has been registered in this connection.
