Vice-President's Bhopal trip off

Bhopal, Oct 30 (UNI) Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's proposed two-day visit to the Madhya Pradesh capital has been called off owing to his indisposition, an official release said here today.

Dr Shekhawat was to take part in the valedictory programme of the state Assembly's golden jubilee celebrations, the first convocation ceremony of the Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and other events.

At today's convocation in the Vidhan Sabha's Mansarovar Auditorium, the Vice-President was to honour two senior journalists.

He was to address legislators, former MLAs and the state's MPs in the Assembly auditorium tomorrow.
