UGC sanctions Research Grant to GNDU scientist

Amritsar, Oct 30 (UNI) The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned a prestigious research project to Dr Renu Bhardwaj, Reader of Botanical and Environmental Sciences Department of the Guru Nanak Dev University, as Coordinator for holding Sensitisation Workshop under UGC programme on ''Capacity Building for Women Managers in Higher Education''.

Giving details of the project, Dr Bhardwaj said the programme was initiated by Commonwealth Secretariat, London with Association of Commonwealth University and University Grants Commission.

It made a Pool of Trainers among senior women managers in higher education. The workshop aims at an equal participation of women in the management of higher education and development of policies, which are gender-friendly.

The participants at managerial positions from Universities and affiliated Colleges of Punjab State would participate in this workshop.
