US military deaths in Iraq hit 100 in October

Baghdad, Oct 30: The US military death toll in Iraq in October reached 100 after a US Marine was killed today in western Anbar province.

The US military said in a statement today the Marine died in combat but did not provide any more details.

Before the latest death, October was already the deadliest month since January 2005 when 107 US troops were killed.
