TN CM to aid scheme for jobless youth on November 11

Chennai, Oct 30 (UNI) Fulfilling yet another poll promise, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will launch a financial assistance scheme for unemployed youth in Tiruchirapalli on November 11.

According to an official release, the assistance would be given to educated youth who have not got employment even after completion of five years from date of registration in the employment exchange.

The monthly financial assistance would be given for three years at the rate of Rs 150 to those who had passed school final examination, Rs 200 for those who had passed higher secondary or pre-University course and Rs 300 for graduates and post-graduates.

The Government would incur annual expenditure of Rs 110 crore for the scheme, which would be simultaneously launched in other districts by State Ministers and Union Ministers belonging to the DMK, the release added.
