Textile Mill workers to take out procession

Puducherry, Oct 30(UNI) The Puducherry Textile Mills labour union today announced that its members will take out a procession through the main thoroughfares of the town and hold a demonstration in front of the legislative assembly tomorrow, in support of their demand.

The demand included employment for wards of the mill workers who had obtained training in the Swadeshi, Bharathi and AFT mills.

The stir was also to protest against the attitude of the mill management which failed to implement a promise to this effect by the Chief Minister N Rangasamy, the Labour union secretary V S Abishegam said in a statement.
