Suspected militant killed in encounter

Imphal, Oct 30 (UNI) A suspected militant was shot dead by the combined force of police and troops at Kakching Khunou in Manipur's Thoubal district today, police said.

Police said the militant was shot dead in an encounter while another militant was nabbed from that area.

Operations are going on to apprehend any other suspected militants hidden in the area, police added.
