Suharto's son blocked as tries to leave jail

JAKARTA, Oct 30 (Reuters) A van attempting to move Indonesian president Suharto's youngest son from the jail where he has been held for plotting a murder was blocked by a crowd of reporters and photographers today afternoon, witnesses said.

Prison sources had said Hutomo ''Tommy'' Mandala Putra could be released conditionally after serving two-thirds of his sentence for paying a hitman to kill a Supreme Court judge and other offences.
