Six IAS officers transferred by Guj Home Dept

Gandhinagar, Oct 30 (UNI) In a minor administrative reshuffle Gujarat Government today transferred many as six senior officers of the Indian Administratative Service (IAS).

A Gujarat Home Department release here said that the orders included cancellation of Dr K S Sugthan's earlier appointment as chairman of Gujarat State Finance Corporation. However, his new placement has yet not been decided.

Dr Sugthan's appointment is given to S K Shekhon, who has gone to Centre on duputation has been sent back. While, R L Meena, who is holding the post of Chief Resident Secretary, New Delhi, has been appointed as the secretary of Human Right Commission (Gujarat).

Mr P K Taneja has been shifted from post of Niyamak of Gujarat Energy Development Corporation (Vadodara) to Administrative Officer of Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (Vadodara).

Mr Taneja is replacing A K Luke, who has been transferred as Chief Secretary, Port and Transport Department. While Guruprasad Mahapatra, who is presently holding post of Transport Commisioner, Gandhinagar, has been made administrative officer of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (Vadodara), the release added.
