Shekhawat's Bhopal tour canceled due to illness

Bhopal, Oct 30: Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat is not coming to Bhopal today due to illness, an official spokesman said.

If his condition improves, he will participate in various programmes here tomorrow, he said, adding the scheduled programmes for both days had not been cancelled.

Mr Shekhawat was scheduled to address the first convocation ceremony of Makhanlal Chaturvedi Journalism University here today and to attend the ballet dance programme by BJP MP Hema Malini and her troupe. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has organised a dinner in Mr Shekhawat's honour tonight.

Mr Shekhwat is also listed to address the MLAs, MPs and former legislators at the Vidhan Sabha auditorium tomorrow to mark the golden jubilee of the state's formation on November 1, 1956.
