Shekhawat down with fever

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat is down with fever and therefore could not leave for Bhopal today, official sources said.

"Mr Shekhawat has a slight fever. We cannot say anything whether he will be able to attend to his scheduled programmes in Bhopal tomorrow," an official of the Vice President's Secretariat said.

The Vice President was to attend the first convocation of the Makhanlal Chaturvedi Journalism University at Bhopal today. Later he was to view a ballet by BJP MP and actress Hema Malini and her troupe.

Mr Shekhawat is scheduled to address the sitting MLAs, MPs and former legislators at the Vidhan Sabha auditorium tomorrow to mark the golden jubilee of the formation of Madhya Pradesh on November 1, 1956.
