Sasken Q2 revenues at Rs 118 crore, up 29 pc QoQ

Bangalore, Oct 30 (UNI) Sasken Communication Technologies Limited, a pioneer in telecom R and D outsourcing, today reported a consolidated revenue of Rs 117.55 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal, up by 29 per cent sequentially and 36 per cent year-on-year.

Consolidated Profit After Tax stood at Rs 11.88 crore, up 37 per cent over the first quarter and two per cent compared to the PAT earned for the corresponding period last year, a company release said here.

Consolidated revenues for the first half of 2006-07 was Rs 208.67 crore, an increase of 35 per cent over the first half of last year.

Consolidated Profit After Tax for the period was Rs 20.54 crore, a 25 per cent increase over the previous year, the company said.

Key financial highlights included acquisition of Botnia Hightech Oy of Finland, completed on August 31, 2006, the release said.

The company had a net addition of 476 people to its rolls during the quarter, taking the total employee strength to 3,373 as on September 30, 2006. It added 11 new customers during the quarter, taking the total number of active customers to 53, it said.
