Rabi MSP for wheat Rs 750 per quintal; mustard Rs 1715

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today approved a Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 750 per quintal for wheat for Rabi 2006-07 to be marketed in the next fiscal season.

The MSP approved by the CCEA is for 'fair average quality' and is above the Rs 700 per quintal recommended by the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP).

The CCEA also approved a price of Rs 1,715 per quintal for mustard for 'fair average quality' and is much above the recommended price of Rs 1,600 by the CACP.
