Pratik, Sikki, Pratul, Chandana win titles

Puducherry, Oct 30 (UNI) Second seed Pratik Patel of Gujarat bagged the Boys Under-16 title in the 20th sub-junior national badminton championships defeating Parin Chopra of Maharashtra 24-22, 9-21, 21-18 in the final here today.

Top seed Sikki Reddy of Andhra Pradesh won the Girls Under-16 title defeating P C Thulasi of Kerala 22-20, 21-11 after a tough first battle.

Pratul Joshi of Madhya Pradesh won the Boys Under-13 title defeating statemate Sameer Verma 21-17, 16-21, 21-15 while, M Chandana of Andhra Pradesh outplayed her statemate Leela Lakshmi 21-17, 21-14 in the finals to bag the Girls Under-13 title.

In the Girls Under-16 doubles, Vaishali Baria of Gujarat and Prajakta Sawant of Maharastra bagged the title defeating Sikki Reddy of Andhra Pradesh and Thulasi of Kerala 21-16, 21-18 while Daya Elsa Jacob of Kerala and M Chandana of Andhra Pradesh defeated P V Sindhu and Leela Lakshmi of Andhra Pradesh 21-10, 21-13 to win the Girls Under 13 doubles title.

Samuela and L Chhuanawma of Mizoram bagged the Boys Under-13 Doubles title defeating Saharsh and Vijetha of Andhra Pradesh 21-11, 21-19.
