Pappu Yadav to be produced on November 8

Patna, Oct 30 (UNI) Additional district and sessions judge of Patna B M Shriwastava, hearing the much hyped Ajit Sarkar murder case, today directed the Superitendent of Tihar jail to produce Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav,MP, in his court physically on November 8.

The court passed this order to record the statement of Mr Yadav as an accused in the case in the wake of the evidences produced by CBI.

The CBI had already closed its prosecution evidence in the case after producing altogather 61 witnesses.

CPI(M) leader and MLA Ajit Sarkar was shot dead at Purnia on June 14 1998. Mr Yadav and former MLA Rajan Tiwary are among the accused in the case.

Mr Yadav is currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail. He was produced in court through video confrencing system during the hearing of the case.
