Northeast Monsoon vigorous over coastal AP
Pune, Oct 30 (UNI) Northeast Monsoon has been vigorous over coastal Andhra Pradesh and active over Kerala.
Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Saurashtra and Kutch, appreciably above normal in Konkan and Goa and above normal in Manipur, Jharkhand, some parts of Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and in remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya. They were markedly below normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh, appreciably below normal in north interior Karnataka, in some parts of Kerala and were below normal in Telangana. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and of north Madhya Maharashtra, appreciably above normal in Vidarbha and in some parts of north Madhya Pradesh and were above normal in Marathwada, Chattisgarh and south Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Orissa and of south interior Karnataka.
They were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and at many places in Telangala, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Orissa, Chattisgarh, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, south Konkan and Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal and north interior Karnataka.
Mainly dry weather will prevail in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.
