Milk to be provided to all anganwadi children
Mysore, Oct 30 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today announced that milk will be provided to all anganwadi children in the State from the next academic year.
Speaking after distributing compensation to the family members of Mysore and Chamarajanagara Milk Producers Union here, he said the Government would take necessary steps to supply milk to all anganwadis in the State.
Mr Kumaraswamy appealed to the youth to take up dairy farming instead of waiting for Government jobs. He asked the district dairy unions to create an awareness on dairy farming among the youth and every family at the village level.
He said the State had a surplus of nearly ten lakh litres of milk and the Government was planning for its distribution.
The Chief Minister distributed compensation of Rs 5,000 each to 38 families of the milk unions in both districts.
