Judicial remand for 3 persons who helped Pakistani ultras
Mysore, Oct 30 (UNI) Three persons, arrested yesterday on the charge of helping two Pakistani terrorists nabbed here last week to get certain documents, were today remanded to judicial custody till November ten.
The trio was produced before the First Additional Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate G S Sangarshi by Assistant Commissioner of Police Krishnappa. The ACP sought police custody of the arrested to investigate their connections with the extremists -- Mohammad Fahad and Mohammad Ali Hussain.
While passport agent Sadiq alias Chacha alias Shariff had forged an old ration card for the ultras, Nanjappa, a deed writer in the Mysore City Corporation, aided to obtain a birth certificate for Fahad and Gopal helped to obtain address proof for them.
A woman who had allegedly acted as mother of Hussian, the Commander of the banned militant outfit Al-Badr, was absconding.
Meanwhile, the city police continued their investigation of the two militants in the Vijayanagar Police Station. Investigations revealed that the ultras not only obtained birth certificate, driving licences and a fake SSLC marks card, but had also visited the Police Commissioner's office to get passport clearance. While Fahad, who fluently spoke Urdu and Malayalam, had introduced himself as a computer engineer from Delhi, Hussin claimed that he was an electrician from Uttar Pradesh.
It was said that Fahad had mailed pictures and reports of vairous buildings in Karnataka through his laptop. However, police have to obtain court permission to open the laptop for further investigation, police sources said.
