Infomedia India registers 54 pc increase in PAT

New Delhi, Oct 30: Infomedia India Ltd today registered a growth of 54 per cent in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006 at Rs 11.52 crore, as compared to Rs 7.50 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The total income of the company also increased by 45 per cent to Rs 60.70 crore as against Rs 41.84 crore for the corresponding period last year.

''Our BPO businesses have settled nicely and are showing good results and our continuing businesses are witnessing strong growth too. We expect the growth momentum to be sustained for the remainder of the fiscal'', Infomedia India Ltd Managing Director Prakash Iyer said.

Besides, net revenues for H1 2006, rose by a 51 per cent to Rs 93.36 crore as compared to Rs 61.8 crore for the same period last fiscal, while net profit (EBITDA) grew by 58 per cent from Rs 11.75 crore to Rs 18.55 crore.
