Hospital employees suspended for administering expired saline

Bokaro, Oct 30 (UNI) The Bokaro Steel plant administration has suspended three employees of Bokaro General Hospital(BGH) and initiated inquiry against two others for administering expired saline to patients.

Chief Communication Officer of Bokaro steel plant Basant Kumar Thakur told UNI here that the matter came to light on October 26 and three employees were found guilty after the inquiry.

Mr Thakur said they had been suspended and inquiry against two others, including a doctor, was on.

A three-member committee was constituted to look into the matter.

The relatives of the patients demonstrated before the hospital administration and roughed up a few hospital employees on October 26.

The situation was brought under control by the police.
