HC adjourn hearing of Monica's bail petition

Hyderabad, Oct 30: Andhra Pradesh High Court Judge Justice S Gopalakrishna today adjourned the hearing to November 16 on the bail application as well as the appeal filed by Monica Bedi, noted cine actress and girl friend of mobster Abu Salem.

When the matter came up in the Court for hearing this morning, the Counsel for Ms Monica, Pradeep Kumar requested the Court to adjourn the hearing to November 16 to facilitate noted criminal lawyer KTS Tulasi to appear in the matter and argue the appeal. The judge conceded the request.

A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court sentenced Ms Bedi to five years imprisonment in a fake passport case on September 29. She filed bail petition in the High Court immediately after the verdict of the CBI.

She was undergoing imprisonment in Chenchalguda prison.
