Gokaldas Exports Q2 PAT up 53 pc at Rs 20.79 cr
Mumbai, Oct 30 (UNI) Gokaldas Exports' has recorded a 53 per cent rise in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 20.79 crore while revenues increased by 28 per cent at Rs 280.99 crore.
This is a 12.4 per cent hike in PAT year on year (YoY) from Rs 18.49 crore in the corresponding quarter last year and a 14.5 per cent YoY hike for revenue from Rs 247.12 crore in Q2 last year.
The company is expanding its existing units and an additional 30 per cent capacity will be installed in the Yeshwanthpur and Yelhanka units, to be operational by November-December 2006. The new laundry and knitwear units are running at full capacity and an additional laundry unit has been installed in the Doddaballpur unit to make it self-sufficient, a company release said.
Work has also commenced on company's new SEZ unit at Madras Exports Processing Zone in Chennai with 400 workers which will be fully operational by January 2007. The new facility at Bangalore for structured suits will also be operational from January next year, the release added.
