Gayatri Projects reports 63 per cent rise in net profit

Hyderabad, Oct 30 (UNI) Gayatri Projects Limited, an ISO 9001 - 2000 construction company, today reported a 63 per cent jump in net profit for July-September period.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 117.24 Millions in the first half compared to Rs 72.08 Millions in the corresponding period last year, a company release said.

The IJM-Gayatri joint venture had been awarded a sum of Rs 23.50 Millions including interest against a claim of Rs 23.90 Millions.

The turnover of the company increased 21 per cent from Rs 1,518.79 Millions for the first half of the last fiscal to Rs 1,830.44 Millions this half year.

The company's performance surged inspite of the onset of monsoons in most parts of the country, which is generally considered a period of reduced construction activity, the release added.
