Foreigner seized in Gaza - security sources
GAZA, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Palestinian gunmen kidnapped a foreigner in the Gaza Strip today, Palestinian security sources said.
One security source said it appeared the foreigner worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross. An ICRC spokesman in Gaza said he had no information about the matter.
Another source said the man was a Palestinian who holds Spanish citizenship.
Neither source gave the foreigner's name and there was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Last week, Palestinian gunmen kidnapped a Spanish photographer working for the Associated Press in Gaza, keeping him captive more than 12 hours before pressure from Palestinian officials secured his release.
Previous kidnappings of foreigners also have usually ended after a few hours, or at most a few days, of captivity.
