Delay in trains due to rain

Chennai, Oct 30 (UNI) Several outgoing and incoming trains from and to Chennai Central were delayed today due to heavy rain and water logging in tracks in Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway.

A Southern Railway release said Chennai Central-Vijayawada Jan Shatabdi Express was regulated at Nayudupeta at 0900 hrs, while the Trivandrum-Guwahati Express was regulated here at 0925 hrs.

The departure of Chennai Central-Howrah Coromandel Express and Ahmedabad Navjivan Express were delayed by three hours each.

Patna-Bangalore Express was regulated at Chirala at 0707 hrs while Yesvantpur-Howrah Express was regulated at Ongole at 0710 hrs and Trivandrum-New Delhi Express was regulated at Nellore at 0710 hrs.

Bilaspur-Chennai Central Express and Jammu Tawi-Chennai Central Express will both arrive late at Chennai Central, the release added.
