Bulgarian president wins re-election by landslide
SOFIA, Oct 29 (Reuters) Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov won a second five-year term in a runoff vote today with a landslide 73.5 percent of the vote, partial official results showed.
In second place with 26.5 percent was Volen Siderov, whose nationalist Attack party campaigned on a largely anti-minority platform and has fought against Bulgaria's efforts to join the European Union on January 1.
The results, released after 39.9 percent of votes had been counted, showed turnout was 41.2 percent.
