Birla Corp Q2 FY 07 net increases by 272 pc

New Delhi, Oct 30: Birla Corporation Ltd today reported a 271.92 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 67.54 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 18.16 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The company's total income was higher by 39.32 per cent at Rs 369.96 crore for the quarter from Rs 265.54 crore for the same period last year.
