Ban on soft drinks: Arguments conclude in K'taka HC

Bangalore, Oct 30 (UNI) Arguments concluded today before the Karnataka High Court in the case, filed by Pepsico India Holdings Pvt Ltd challenging the ban ordered by the State Government against the sale of its aerated drinks.

After the arguments on behalf of the state and the petitioner concluded, Mr Justice D V Shylendrakumar posted the case to the last week of November for further hearing, if any.

The petitioner had challenged the ban imposed by the State Government on the sale of its soft drinks in hospitals, schools, colleges and Government offices vide a notification dated August 14.

The court, by an interim order, had allowed the ban in schools and colleges.
