ATS seeks court's permission to bring blast accused to Mumbai
Mumbai, Oct 30 (UNI) The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) have sought permission from the Malegaon Sessions Court to bring Noorulhodha Samsudoha and Shabeer Batterywala, the Malegaon blast accused, here for further interrogation.
After the narco-analysis test done on Noorulhodha last week, it was revealed that the blast was carried out for creating religious unrest in Malegaon, said Director General of Police P S Pasricha and ATS Chief K P Raghuvanshi at a press meet here today.
Meanhwile, the ATS, whICH conducted a raid on a godown at Malegaon on a tip-off received from its sources, found the same material stored in the godown which was used in the blast. This was revealed after the forensic tests which was done on the material, said the DGP.
The ATS further revealed that Samsudoha was a member of the banned Muslim organisation SIMI and one of the planters of the bombs at Malegaon and Batterywala was the owner of the godown and one of the conspirators of the blast.
The blast case has been registered by Azad Nagar Police Station at Malegoan.
