Ashok Leyland Q2 net up 27 pc at Rs 95 cr

Mumbai, Oct 30 (UNI) Truck and bus major Ashok Leyland has posted a net profit of Rs 95.36 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 75 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, up 27.14 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1267.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 1709.38 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
