ABB Q3 net up 55.15 pc

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) ABB Ltd today posted a 55.15 per cent increase in net profit for the third quarter ended September 30, 2006, at Rs 82.14 crore as compared to Rs 52.94 crore for the corresponding period year.

The company's total income increased 51.90 per cent to Rs 1093.59 crore for the quarter from Rs 719.92 crore for Q3 FY 06.

''In line with our commitment towards profitable and sustainable growth, we shall continue to increase both the depth and breadth of our business. This will be driven by market penetration and increased volumes from the existing portfolio, as well as generation of new revenue streams,'' said company Vice Chairman and Managing Director Ravi Uppal.

He added that the company's capacity and range expansion investment programme across products and locations continues on course, as it strengthens its leadership position and address the power and automation needs of a growing market.
