18 cows being taken for slaughter recovered

Hardoi, Oct 30 (UNI) Police recovered 18 cows being taken to a slaughter house in Hardoi district last night, police today said.

The incident occurred in Kachauna area, where police recovered 18 cows being transported aboard a truck.

Some of the cows had already died by the time police reached the spot.

The miscreants, however, managed to escape.

The incident also caused tension in the area.

Investigations are on in the case.
