13 members of CPI Maoists surrender
Visakhapatnam, Oct 30 (UNI) Thirteen members of the banned CPI(Maoists), including two 'dalam' members, surrendered before district police Superintendent J G Murali here today.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the members, hailing from Visakhapatnam district, had supplied land mines to Maoists who had recently conducted camps at Theegalametta village in Koyyuru mandal agency area of Andhra Pradesh.
He said they had also participated in blasting of land mines in various operations by Maoists and used to carry articles to Andhra-Orissa border arears.
The members, K Sattibabu G S Madhu (25), Bonangi Laxmana Rao (40), G Somaraju (45), K Raghunadh (22), G B Madhu (25), K Madhava Rao (25), Talabu Laxmana Rao (26), T Sadu (25), B Bheemanna (35), G Chaitan (35), Vanthala Ramachander (40) and Gella Somandh (40), surrendered saying they wished to join the mainstream.
