Vice-President's programme changes

Bhopal, Oct 29 (UNI) In a slight modification of the programme for a two-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will arrive here by a special plane at 1820 hrs tomorrow and not at 1250 hrs as was scheduled earlier.

Official sources said that health reasons compelled the change.

Consequently, the Vice-President will be unable to attend, as chief guest, a convocation of the Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism convocation at 1600 hrs. Governor Balram Jakhar will take Dr Shekhawat's place at the event.

The other programmes of the Vice-President will remain unchanged.

On October 31, he will address legislators, former MLAs and the state's MPs in the Assembly auditorium. He will plant a sapling and be part of a group photograph.

Prior to that Dr Shekhawat would be welcomed by Governor Balram Jakhar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Speaker Ishwar Das Rohani, his deputy Hazarilal Raghuvanshi and Leader of the Opposition in Assembly Jamuna Devi.
