UP minister resigns alleging harassment of minorities

Lucknow, Oct 29 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Minister for Trade rpt Trade Tax Sanjay Garg resigned his post today.

Mr Garg faxed his resignation letter to Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav from Saharanpur, party sources said.

They said the minister has alleged that a group of minorities was ''harassed'' during the first phase of local bodies polls in Saharanpur yesterday.

Mr Garg, however, said he has resigned his post not from the party.
