Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 29 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said the 'Telangana liberation sturggle', organised during 1948 against Nizam's rule, was an inspiration to Kovailar movement in Kerala and people's struggle in West Bangal.

Speaking at a delegates meeting organised as part of 24th 'Agricultural Laboueres Union Meeting' at Kodada in this district, Mr Achuthanandan said the labour unions affiliated to the left parties have dedicated their lives and fought against the Nizam's tyranny after the country was liberated from British rule. The people have learnt a lot from the Telangana liberation struggle, he added.

Alleging that the present political parties were conspiring to divide Scheduled Castes (SC) communities to gain political mileage, he said these kinds of 'division of SC community politics' were ended in Kerala decades ago.

Mr Achuthanandan recollected that former Chief Minister E M S Namboodripad has brought land reforms in Kerala and abolished 'Jamindari rule' in the State during his tenure. Land reforms could only solve the problems of agricultural labouers in the country, he added.
