Suncity kicks off projects worth Rs 2800cr

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) The group behind the longest 'CrossRiver Mall' in the town, real estate developers Suncity Projects have announced three new projects at an investment of Rs 2,800 crore to be completed within the next three to four years.

The company, whose accomplishments include townships like Suncity Projects in Gurgaon, plans to set up luxury apartments 'La-lagune' in Gurgaon, a township in Rohtak and housing projects in Panchkula valued at Rs 700 crore, Rs 1,500 crore and Rs 600 crore respectively.

For the 'La-lagune' in Gurgaon and township projects in Rohtak, the company has partnered with Delhi-based construction and development group ABW and Santur Projects with a 50:50 JV with each, Suncity Projects Chairman L N Goel told reporters here.

''The booking for the residential projects have already been commenced and we expect to complete the projects within three to four years,'' Mr Goel said.

The group will also foray into hospitality business with three five star hotels in Jaipur, Greater Noida and Mohali, he said adding that the company aims to come up with Vasant Square Mall by May next year in the capital.

The 11.3 acre La-lagune project is located on the Golf course road in Gurgaon and has water bodies and landscaping designed by Paul Friedberg and Partners of the US as its highlight.

Apart from this, the pricing of villas at township in Rohtak range between Rs 36 lakhs to Rs 44 lakhs and the plots cost at 5600 per square.

However, the pricing of Non-AC apartments in PanchKula start from Rs 53 lakhs to Rs 74 lakhs, while the AC apartments cost Rs 70 lakh to Rs 1.85 crore.

The company is already investing Rs 15,000 crore over the next three years in its 24 projects running.

Suncity is also working on Court and North Square -- Delhi's first only women's mall in Pitampura.
